VSUMC Stained Glass Windows

All of the windows in the sanctuary and the chapel were built by the Chicago firm of Giannini and Hilgart.  Thousands of pieces of Flemish, German, and English glass were used to fashion these windows.  The glass was stained and baked in the United States.  The Rose Window is a generic term simply meaning a circular window with compartments branching from the center.  Sometimes there is the symbol of a flower in the center.  This window, situated above the balcony, has a circular panel  with four circular panels around it to form a cross.  There is a sunflower in the center.
